Grand Rapids, MI. – October 27, 2025 - Acrisure today announced the appointment of Benjamin Funk as Chief Technology and Chief AI Officer. In this role, Funk will lead Acrisure’s global technology strategy, with a focus on AI transformation, enterprise automation, and expanding the firm’s digital client experience. He will report to Mark Wassersug, Acrisure’s Chief Operating Officer.
“Acrisure has invested heavily in AI and technology to help our clients grow and succeed,” said Greg Williams, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Acrisure. “Over the past twelve years, we’ve grown revenue more than one hundred thirty-fold by staying true to our mission of delivering the solutions our clients want and need . . . through whatever medium they desire. Adding Ben to our leadership team will expand and accelerate the value we bring to clients, partners, and colleagues worldwide.”
Funk joins Acrisure from Palantir, where he served as Global Head of Insurance. There, he led forward-deployed engineering teams across insurance and financial services, building AI- and data-driven solutions that created significant value for clients.

Funk earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemical engineering from Stanford University and pursued PhD studies at the University of Cambridge before joining Palantir as an early commercial forward-deployed engineer in 2014.
